A delicious food
The potato cake is a typical Chilean food made mainly by potato, in addition to meat, onion, eggs, olives and other ingredients, quite easy to prepare.
First you have to cook the eggs for 5 minutes in a pot with water. Then fry the onion, meat, oregano, salt and merkén in a pan. Remove from the heat when the meat is golden and the onion is transparent.
Immediately the puree is prepared. Peel the potatoes, put them in a pot and cover with water, add 1 tablespoon of salt and cook for 20 to 30 minutes, once they are soft they are mashed adding butter, salt and milk until a thick puree is obtained. and tasty.
There are two ways to serve it, on a family platter or on individual plates. To do it in individual dishes, put a portion of pine, add half of 1 boiled egg, the olives and cover with a portion of purée.
Put the dishes on the oven tray and let them gratin for a few minutes at 180 degrees.
I like this dish a lot because it is very tasty and it also reminds me of my childhood and summers with my family and friends.
